IMMEDIATELY AFTER SUNLESS SPRAY APPLICATION
Refrain from showering as long as possible, ideally for 24 hours. Sunless color begins showing development about 4 hours post application and continues to darken for up to 24 hours.
First (and most importantly) you must allow your sunless tan to develop. It is recommended to wait at least 8-24 hours before your first shower. If you cannot wait this amount of time, you may prevent your tan from fully developing. As a rule of thumb, remember the longer you wait, the better.
WHAT TO AVOID POST-APPLICATION
Avoid wearing tight clothing for at least 6 hours. This includes bras, spandex, tight-fitting jeans, shirts, long boots, leggings, etc.
The first shower after your tanning application will differ from your usual shower routine. Follow these steps to ensure proper rinsing:
1. Use lukewarm/cool water - rinse only, no products should be used at this time.
2. Duration of shower should be no more than 60 seconds.
3. Do not be alarmed if cosmetic bronzer washes away during this point. This is supposed to happen as it is suitable for “sealing” the sunless color.
4. Pat dry and wait 30 minutes before taking a regular shower and use of soaps, shampoos, etc.
SHAVING & HAIR REMOVAL
Use a fresh razor (dull razor blades call for repeated razor/skin contact. This will not only irritate your skin but also cause your spray to lighten or strip off entirely).
Use light-pressure when handling razor. Pressing down on the skin too hard will also cause deterioration of the spray solution.
** TIP: Replace your shaving cream with sulfate/paraben-free hair conditioner. Regular shaving creams strip color.

FINAL POINTS TO CONSIDER
It is important to remember that your skin may sometimes not be in the optimal condition for sunless tanning; when this happens, you may find the tan not as effective as expected. Causing factors of this include sickness, certain medications, hormonal imbalances, stress/exhaustion, dehydration and low pH level of the skin.
