Exfoliation = Key To The Perfect Tan.
Exfoliating is essential for getting the ultimate tanning experience. Whether it is UV or UV-Free tanning, having smooth, freshly exfoliated skin is the best way to maximize your tans color, longevity and evenness.
Sugar scrubs are a great way to treat your skin before a tan; making these scrubs on your own is not only easy, but a cheap and natural alternative to scrub products you may find in retail.
Below is a sugar scrub recipe you should apply 1-2 days before getting your spray tan. The one key to a long lasting tan is exfoliation. Simply apply scrub to entire body rubbing gently in a circular motion. Rinse body with cool water and pat your skin dry.
It is important to not apply lotion or moisturizer the day you plan on SPRAY TANNING as the lotion/moisturizer may counteract with the tanning product. HOW TO USE IT: (SC)RUB-A-DUB-DUB!
You can use a scrub with your exfoliating tool or by itself. Start scrubbing in circular motions from the feet and work your way up. Take care of your back with a long-handled brush or sponge.
Move up to the belly and torso. Use a gentle hand on areas where the skin is more sensitive like the bikini line and chest.
HOW & WHERE TO STORE IT
These last on the counter for up to 2 months (or more).
Take care that extra water doesn’t get into the scrub when you use it as it won’t last as long or work as well.
